It’s Thursday, named for the Norse god of thunder, but the time for stormy discourse is in abeyance. While our superlatives-are-inadequate Executive and their support staff toil at negotiations I’d like to remind you all that we will need to rekindle the emotions of the past few months.

This is Mr Baillieu’s one and only term, and 996 days is not long enough for us to forget a government that chose to spend millions of tax-payer dollars needlessly prolonging our EBA and triggering the first real nursing strike action Victoria’s seen in over a quarter of a century. Come the second half of November 2014 we need to remind the Victorian public, so keep your red shirts, pop that coal of ire in a safe place, and as we celebrate let our joy be tempered by certainty – one term, Ted.
